Raiders take cash from security van in Dublin

Armed raiders have escaped with cash from a security van in central Dublin.

Armed raiders have escaped with cash from a security van in central Dublin.

Three men held up the vehicle at Macken Street shortly before 2pm.

They sped away in a BMW which has been found abandoned at nearby Grand Canal Dock.

Gardaí are searching the area although no trace of the money's been found.

A search of the water is expected to take place.

No shots were fired and no-one was injured.
