3.4m passengers through Aer Rianta airports during Jan-March
Over 3.4m passengers travelled through Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports during the first three months of the year, according to Aer Rianta.
Figures released today show a 2% rise on last year's corresponding numbers.
European and transatlantic routes had the largest increases, although foot-and- mouth and airline strikes are blamed for a fall in traffic between Ireland and the UK, with Shannon the exception as it recorded a 29% rise.
