Fermanagh recall McDermott

Wing back Shane McDermott has earned a recall to the Fermanagh side for Sunday's All-Ireland SFC qualifier against Donegal (Enniskillen, throw-in 2pm).

Wing back Shane McDermott has earned a recall to the Fermanagh side for Sunday's All-Ireland SFC qualifier against Donegal (Enniskillen, throw-in 2pm).

Former skipper McDermott returns for the fourth round tie after being suspended for the wins against Clare and Wexford. The St. Patrick's, Donagh clubman takes over from Peter Sherry at right half-back.

That is the other change Fermanagh boss Charlie Mulgrew has made to the team that beat Wexford 2-12 to 0-11 a fortnight ago.

Mark Little, a wing forward last time out, has recovered from a calf injury to retain his place, but the Lisnaskea marksman will start at left corner forward this time.

Mulgrew has rejigged his attack with Little and Tom Brewster moving into the full-forward line, and Ciaran O'Reilly, who is the Ernesiders' top scorer this summer with 3-12, and Sean Doherty positioned on the forty.

Fermanagh, who have beaten Antrim (Ulster SFC), Clare and Wexford so far, have a pleasing record against Donegal in recent seasons - the Erne men have come out on top in three of the sides' last five championship encounters.

FERMANAGH (SFC v Donegal) - C Breen; R McCluskey, B Owens (capt), S Goan; S McDermott, H Brady, R Johnston; M McGrath, M Murphy; E Maguire, S Doherty, C O'Reilly; A Little, T Brewster, M Little.
