Gardaí ask for assistance in identifying man

Gardaí are seeking the public's assistance in establishing the identity of a man who was found in a confused state in Dublin earlier today.

The man was found on O’Connell Street Lower at around 3pm, gardaí said.

He is described as being middle aged and around 4ft 10" in height with very short grey hair and glasses.

He is wearing a very distinguishable red puffa jacket with a white hoody underneath it and grey track suit bottoms with black shoes. He also is wearing a stripy red and black Beanie hat.

"There is a some possibility that his Christian name may be John," gardaí said.

Anyone in a position to assist in identifying this man is asked to contact Store Street Garda Station on 01 6668000.
