Blackburn win Worthington Cup
Blackburn Rovers have won the Worthington Cup after a 2-1 win over Tottenham at the Millennium Stadium.
Blackburn opened the scoring on 25 minutes through Matt Jansen, but Christian Ziege deservedly brought Spurs level eight minutes later.
However in the second-half Andy Cole hooked in the winner in the 69th minute.
Spurs were denied a late penalty claim in the last five minutes when Teddy Sheringham was brought down, then seconds later Brad Friedel denied Les Ferdinand from point blank range.
