A Co Louth man has denied being in Banbridge and Omagh on the day of the two respective bombings in 1998.

The Special Criminal Court was told that the mobile phone of the accused, Colm Murphy registered making calls in the towns on August 1st and 15th respectively.

However, Mr Murphy dismissed this as pure coincidence and said his wife must have driven through both towns on the respective days.

He added he had never been in Omagh in his life and said he was not in the business of condemning such acts.
