Gardaí have arrested two men in Dublin in connection with two separate armed robberies.

Gardaí have arrested two men in Dublin in connection with two separate armed robberies.

A man in his 30s is being held in Ranelagh after a post office in Dundrum was raided.

A firearm and a sum of cash have been recovered.

Another man is being questioned by gardaí in Howth in connection with the attempted robbery of a building society at Sutton Cross.

It is understood that gardaí are still searching for a second raider in the Howth area.
