Cavan call on Johnston

Seanie Johnston has been passed fit to start for Cavan in tomorrow night's NFL Division Two semi-final against Roscommon at Croke Park (throw-in 7.45pm).

The DCU star has recovered sufficiently from injury, having played for his club Cavan Gaels in a club game last weekend, to take his place at left corner forward.

Tomorrow's game marks Cavan's first appearance at the redeveloped headquarters since 1997 and manager Donal Keoghan has opted to make two further changes to the side that beat Waterford a fortnight ago.

Martin Cahill comes in at right corner back, with Jonathan Crowe making way, while Ronan Flanagan, who returns from suspension, replaces the injured Sean Brady at left half-forward.

With Lorcan Mulvey suspended, 1997 All-Star Dermot McCabe has a new midfield partner in Michael Brennan, who lined out at wing back last time out.

Darren Rabbitte and Nicholas Walsh are both ruled out due to injury, but the latter has been named amongst the substitutes.

Cavan's one and only league title came way back in 1948 when they won Divison One. Keoghan's side topped Division 2B this season thanks to five wins and two draws.

CAVAN (NFL v Roscommon) - J Reilly; M Cahill, A Forde, M Hannon; P Brady, E Reilly, K Fannin; D McCabe, M Brennan; R Cullivan, M McKeever (capt), R Flanagan; J O'Reilly, R Gallagher, S Johnston.
