Uniformed and plain-clothed gardai arrested two men, both 28, in Tipperary town after a surveillance operation.

Nothing was found in the car but a field nearby was then searched where the quantity of cannabis resin was found.

The men were then taken to Clonmel Garda station and were charged under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
