Munster have yet to confirm Tony McGahan's departure at the end of the season.
According to reports, McGahan has been offered a coaching role with the Australian set up and informed his players and staff in recent days that he will be leaving.
During his time in charge Munster won last year's RaboDirect Pro12 and this season reached the Heineken Cup quarter-finals after winning all six pool games.
When contacted about the murmurs of McGahan's exit yesterday the Munster branch told us "it did not comment on rumours".
Antony Foley, Eddie O'Sullivan and Wayne Smith are amongst those being linked to the vacancy.
Ex Munster winger Ian Dowling has praised the job done by McGahan and has said he would like to see Foley replace the soon-to-be former coach.
