Fresh talks aimed at saving jobs at the Lufthansa Technik plant in Dublin are due to get underway later this morning.
The aircraft engine maintenance firm placed all 465 workers at the Rathcoole facility on protective notice on Wednesday after staff rejected Labour Court proposals on new work practices.
Lufthansa Technik says a large investment which would guarantee the plant's viability is dependent on acceptance of the changes.
Yesterday, the National Implementation Body invited both sides to talks in an effort to prevent job losses.
SIPTU says it hopes the basis of an agreement can be reached.
