Green Party Chairman Dan Boyle has said he is "far from satisfied" with the statement made by Senator Ivor Callely about his expenses.

Mr Callely is in hot water after claiming over €80,000 in expenses from an address in Cork, even though his constituency office is in Dublin.

In a short address to the Seanad today Mr Callely said he had been fully complient with all the rules on Seanad expenses.

But in a tweet Mr Boyle said public disquiet won't be satisfied by the statement.
