Record 20 million people flew in 2003

A record 20 million passengers travelled through Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports in 2003, according to reports this morning.

A record 20 million passengers travelled through Dublin, Cork and Shannon airports in 2003, according to reports this morning.

The figure represents a 5% increase over passenger numbers at the three airports in 2002.

Around 16 million of the 20 million passengers travelled through Dublin Airport, but Cork experienced the largest increase, with passenger numbers up 17% to 2.2 million.

Passenger traffic at Shannon, meanwhile, increased by 2% to 2.4 million.
