Prison officers are demanding the publication of proposals to combat their overtime working arrangements.

Prison officers are demanding the publication of proposals to combat their overtime working arrangements.

They fear they are being asked to take a reduction in income while agreeing to work additional hours.

Two weeks ago, the Minister for Justice Michael McDowell told the Prison Officers Association Conference that he would put detailed plans on the table within days.

But the prison officers say they have heard nothing.
