Celtic trialist Charles-Edouard Coridon has revealed he is desperate to clinch a permanent move to the Scottish champions.
The Lens midfielder is already at the club and has been lined up for a Parkhead debut in the friendly with Tottenham on Tuesday.
Coridon told the Scottish Daily Mirror: “I just hope Martin O’Neill gives me the chance to show what I can do.
“I have seen French players like Bobo Balde and Henri Camara move to Celtic and Jean-Alain Boumsong go to Rangers and I think the SPL is going to be a very good league for me.”
The 31-year-old Martinique international turned down a move to Everton to try his luck with the Hoops, according to agent Willie McKay.
O’Neill is also keen on bringing Brazilian midfielder Juninho to Parkhead in time for the Champions League campaign but it is unclear whether the player is prepared to leave Middlesbrough.
Meanwhile, Celtic and Rangers could soon be set to join the G14 group of elite European clubs, which is considering expanding.
