MUSIC: The 56th Annual Grammy Awards (RTÉ Two, 7.30pm)

You probably know the

The list of performers on the night reads like a who’s who of international music, including Beyoncé, Jay-Z, Madonna, Katy Perry, Taylor Swift, Paul McCartney, Pink, Metallica, Willie Nelson and Lorde.

Probably the most anticipated performance of the night was a rare performace from reclusive French electronic duo Daft Punk, who teamed up with Nile Rodgers, Stevie Wonder and Pharrell Williams to perform a medley of their hits.

FILM: Cassandra's Dream (9.30pm, TG4)

Irish star Colin Farrell teams up with Ewan McGregor for this dramatic thriller, written and directed by Woody Allen.

It comes highly recommended - in his "Best of the Decade" article, New Yorker critic Richard Brody called ‘Cassandra's Dream’ one of the best films of the 2000s.

In it, brothers Terry and Ian, who live in South London, buy a sailboat at an oddly low price, and name it “Cassandra's Dream”, after a greyhound that won Terry the money to buy it.

Knowing nothing of Greek mythology, they are unaware of the ominous antecedents of this name - the ancient prophetess Cassandra, whose predictions of doom went unheeded by those around her.

LIFESTYLE: Food and Drink (BBC 2, 8.30pm)

We could all learn a thing or two from Mary Berry – even, it would seem, a Michelin-starred chef.

Michel Roux Jr returns for another series to bring us all that is excellent in food and drink.

First up, he’s getting the Great British Bake Off judge on board to show us how we can make use of stale bread to create fish pie topping – and an impressed Michel admits he’d never have thought of that himself.

Mary also shares stories from her days as ‘freezer correspondent’ for a weekly magazine, explaining all about the kitchen equipment introduced to the UK in the 1960s.

Drinks expert Kate Goodman does a tasting of the ultimate in ‘waste not want not’ drinks: grappa.

DRAMA: The Bletchley Circle (UTV, 9pm)

Are the women featured in this series addicted to danger? It’s beginning to seem like it.

Millie, Jean, Lucy and Alice seem to stumble upon criminals without even trying. Not that we’re complaining - it makes for cracking drama.

In the concluding part of the case (which is also the last of the current series), they anonymously inform the police about a killing, and are stunned when detectives arrive at the scene to discover that the body has been removed.

The women realise that somebody working within the vice squad must be in cohorts with the traffickers.

NEW ON NETFLIX: Mitt

Given unprecedented access by Mitt Romney and his family for six years, ‘Mitt’ follows the former governor's presidential aspirations, from Christmas 2006 to his initial run to become the Republican nominee in 2008 and through his Presidential concession speech in 2012.

Director Greg Whiteley (‘New York Doll’ and ‘Resolved’) travels alongside the campaign through interactions with potential voters, preparations for the debates, personal moments with his family and concluding with final presidential election night results.
