It has emerged that the McEntee Report into the Dublin/Monaghan bombings investigation is likely to be published on Wednesday afternoon.

The inquiry - led by senior counsel Patrick McEntee - is expected to be discussed at tomorrow’s cabinet meeting.

Thirty-three people were killed when three car bombs in Dublin and one in Monaghan Town exploded in the space of 90 minutes on May 17, 1974.

It is widely understood that British Intelligence helped loyalists to carry out the attacks.
