A man appeared in court today charged with a gangland murder almost three years ago.

A man appeared in court today charged with a gangland murder almost three years ago.

Craig White, aged 22, from O’Devaney Gardens off Dublin’s North Circular Road, was remanded in custody for one week at a brief hearing at the Bridewell District Court.

A Garda spokesman confirmed he had been charged and said he would appear again at the same court next Friday.

Noel Roche, aged 27, was shot dead on November 15 2005 in a car on the Clontarf Road in north Dublin.

The killing has been linked to a long-running feud between two crime gangs based in the Crumlin/Drimnagh areas of south Dublin which has claimed the lives of more than ten people.
