The final debate of the Presidential campaign has seen the Sinn Féin candidate Martin McGuinness go on the attack against Seán Gallagher.

Mr Gallagher has again been forced to defend his Fianna Fáil past as the focus turns on him as he leads opinion polls.

Martin McGuinness declared there was something very rotten in the last administration and that Seán Gallagher was part of it.

He also claimed the Independent candidate went around looking for large amounts of money for Fianna Fáil at a fundraiser two years ago.

And Seán Gallagher also came under attack from Fine Gael's Gay Mitchell who called for him to come clean about what Mr Gallagher had described as an "accounting error" over €89,000 in his accounts.
