Gardai in Dublin are searching for two people this morning in connection with an attack on a taxi driver in Coolock last night.

Gardai in Dublin are searching for two people this morning in connection with an attack on a taxi driver in Coolock last night.

A young couple attacked the driver with a syringe and robbed a small amount of cash from him after he picked them up on the Malahide Road at around 11.30pm.

The man and woman, believed to be in their 20s, fled on foot in the Moatview Court area.

The driver drove himself to Beaumont hospital for treatment to minor stab wounds on his neck and forearm.
