Farmers are giving away free lamb in Dublin city centre today to highlight the falling price they receive for the produce.
The Irish Cattle and Sheepfarmers Association says its members might as well give the meat away for free as sell it at its current price.
The association says it believes consumers will be appalled to hear that farmers get just €3.85 for a kilo of lamb, which can then be sold on for up to €20/kg.
