Monaghan's Kevin McBride has been beaten in his overnight heavyweight contest.

The Clones Colossus was stopped in the second round by Chicago's Mike Mollo in the Windy City, having been knocked to the canvas three times.

Meanwhile, Russian Nikolai Valuev retained his WBA Heavyweight title when he stopped American Monte Barrett in the eleventh round.

The giant Russian is now unbeaten in 45 fights, 33 of those by way of knockout.
