The final stretch of the Arklow-Gorey bypass is due to open to traffic in the south-east of the country today.

The final stretch of the Arklow-Gorey bypass is due to open to traffic in the south-east of the country today.

The 22km stretch of the N11 is expected to cut journey times and remove around 10,000 vehicles every day from Gorey and surrounding villages.

The area had been one of the most notorious bottlenecks on the main Dublin to Wexford route.
