The Dail is to be recalled on Thursday for a day to discuss the report into suspected tax evasion through the Ansbacher bank.

TDs will debate the long-awaited report report from 10.30am to 4.30pm.

The Tanaiste, Mary Harney, will also be questioned for one hour about the investigation into the Ansbacher scheme set up by the late Des Traynor, former Taoiseach Charles Haughey’s accountant.

Meanwhile, in the High Court today, the Director of Corporate Enforcement was granted leave to apply for access to all the papers relating to the investigation in the hope of eventually prosecuting some of the 190 individuals and corporations named in the report.
