Liverpool captain Steven Gerrard could be back to face former manager Roy Hodgson at West Brom tomorrow having recovered from a groin operation.
The midfielder underwent surgery on March 10 but returned to training this week and a late decision will be made on whether to play him at the Hawthorns.
Defender Fabio Aurelio also trained this week after almost a month out with a hamstring injury but he is unlikely to make the squad, while fellow full-back Martin Kelly has encountered a problem with a similar injury and is still out.
Midfielder Jonjo Shelvey is also back with the squad after a knee operation in February, while forward Luis Suarez is set to continue in the starting line-up after showing no ill-effects from the groin problem which forced him to miss Uruguay’s two recent friendlies.
Provisional squad: Reina, Carragher, Skrtel, Agger, Johnson, Lucas, Gerrard, Spearing, Kuyt, Meireles, Suarez, Carroll, Gulacsi, Kyrgiakos, Wilson, Poulsen, Rodriguez, Cole, Ngog, Flanagan.
