Newtownshandrum defender Pat Mulcahy has been named at centre-forward on the Cork team to face Clare in the National Hurling League second phase clash at Cusack Park on Sunday.

Mulcahy moves to attack from left corner-back, where he started last weekend's defeat to Kilkenny.

Brian Murphy, Graham Callinan, Tom Kenny, Brian Corcoran and Joe Deane all return to the side to face the in-form Banner.

Murphy comes in at right corner-back, with Cian O'Connor switching flanks to allow for Mulcahy's move out of defence.

Callinan is chosen at right half-back, with John Gardiner moving to the heart of defence for Ronan Curran, who lines out for his club, St Finbarr's, on Friday.

Kenny replaces Paul Tierney at midfield, Neil Ronan is at right half-forward, with Mulcahy in the centre, flanked by Niall McCarthy on the left.

Ben O'Connor moves to the full-forward line, with Brian Corcoran in the middle and Deane at top of the left.

Last week's full-forward line of Kieran Murphy, Garvin McCarthy and Jonathan O'Callaghan drop to the bench.
