Dublin West TD Joan Burton and Limerick East TD Jan O'Sullivan are due to attend the first in a series of nationwide party meetings in Dublin's Westbury Hotel.

New Labour leader Eamon Gilmore will also address those in attendance, setting out his vision for the party's future.

Further gatherings are due to take place across the county in the coming weeks before the deadline for voting in the deputy leadership contest.
