Tipperary's camogie player Una O'Dwyer and Galway footballer Annette Clarke have been named the Vodafone GAA Players of the Year for 2004.
The duo were honoured at an awards presentation in Dublin, attended by GAA President Sean Kelly, Camogie Association President Miriam O'Callaghan, Ladies Football President Geraldine Giles and Vodafone Brand and Marketing chief Helen Marks.
Both players are first-time winners of the award.
Clarke is the first Tribeswoman to win the award after leading Galway to All-Ireland glory this year, having already won the league and championship as a junior player.
O'Dwyer adds the gong to the Texaco award she received recently after collecting her fifth All-Ireland medal with the Premier County last month.
