Naas assignment for Dali

Don’t Dili Dali will aim for a deserved first Group success in the Blue Wind Stakes at Naas on Wednesday.

Don’t Dili Dali will aim for a deserved first Group success in the Blue Wind Stakes at Naas on Wednesday.

Stan Moore’s filly also holds an entry in the totepool Middleton Stakes at York a day later but the Lambourn-based trainer believes the Irish Group Three will be a little more suitable.

“Don’t Dili Dali is going to go to Ireland,” said Moore. “There are a few Group One horses in at York and I think it might be a bit too hot.

“The ground in Ireland should be slightly better too, so I think we’ll have a go. The mile and a quarter suits and she is in great form.

“We’ll have to see what else runs and it might be difficult to get jockeys, but I think we will try to get one of the Irish ones.”

Dont Dili Dali already has a Listed race victory to her name but looked unlucky last time at Newmarket when a close third to Echelon in the Dahlia Stakes.
