A 28-year-old Ukrainian man is due in court in Dublin this morning charged in connection with the murder of 21-year-old Romanian man Adrian Bestea.

Mr Bestea's corpse was found stuffed into a suitcase in the Royal Canal near Croke Park in July.

His body displayed signs of torture and a severe beating and led to a major garda hunt to identify him.

The Ukrainian is the first person to be arrested in connection with the death.
