260 new buses for Bus Eireann and Dublin Bus

Bus Éireann is getting €50m from the Department of Transport to buy 160 new buses for services outside Dublin, it was announced this afternoon.

Bus Éireann is getting €50m from the Department of Transport to buy 160 new buses for services outside Dublin, it was announced this afternoon.

Dublin Bus will be getting a hundred new buses in the next year, thanks to government funding of €30m.

A further hundred buses are to be obtained from the private sector, as part of a scheme to bring new entries into the Dublin market by awarding franchises to operate routes.
