Paul Nolan’s Noble Prince will not run at the Punchestown Festival this week.
The Cheltenham Festival winner appeared to be in the process of adding the Powers Gold Cup to his record when he tipped up two fences from home last week.
Nolan was undecided after the race whether or not to go to the well once more with his seven-year-old, but has now drawn stumps for the season.
“We didn’t want to be greedy after winning at Cheltenham and he ran his race at Fairyhouse. We decided it was best to miss Punchestown in the long-term interest of the horse,” said Nolan.
