Jason Gavin's first goal of the season proved a dramatic late winner to move Drogheda eleven points clear at the top of the table and ever so closer to a first title.

Drogheda dominated the first half and the mystery at the break was that they weren't several goals to the good.

Eamon Zayed, Brian Shelley and Guy Bates had chances before Ollie Cahill's 44th minute effort beat Rovers keeper Richard Brush but left-back Keith Foy was there to clear off the line.

Drogheda keeper Dan Connor had to save well from Faz Kuduzovic before Gavin struck for the winner in the last minute.

Paul Keegan put over a super cross and the central defender arrived to blast the ball past Brush.
