Six-figure sum stolen in Dublin security van robbery

Two masked men have escaped with a six-figure sum of money following an armed raid on a security van in Swords, Co Dublin.

Two masked men have escaped with a six-figure sum of money following an armed raid on a security van in Swords, Co Dublin.

The men held up the van while it was filling an ATM at the Statoil service station at Blake’s Cross, on the Swords Road, at around 8.40am.

No shots were fired during the robbery and nobody was injured.

A stolen jeep used in the raid was found abandoned about 10 miles away a short time later.
