Peter Hutton calls time on his playing career at the Brandywell tonight as Derry City entertain Bray Wanderers in the League of Ireland Premier Division, kick-off 7.45pm.

The veteran defender has played 661 times for City but he has been told that he will not be offered a contract for next season.

The Candystripes have had a turbulent week off the pitch and go into tonight’s final home fixture without several key players.

Gareth McGlynn and Tam McManus are both ruled out through suspension, while Mark Farren will not play again this season.

Stephen Gray and Thomas Stewart are also missing as they both remain out injured.

There is a chance, however, that City striker Sammy Morrow may be involved for Stephen Kenny’s side as he is fit again following a long absence through injury.

Chris Deans is suspended for Wanderers following his sending off in the FAI Ford Cup semi-final at Morton Stadium on Sunday.

Otherwise manager Eddie Gormley has a full squad to pick from with captain Derek Pender returning to the squad having missed out on the cup clash through suspension.

Gormley said: "I was very, very disappointed with Sunday's performance. It was our worst performance of the season. The players let themselves down and everybody involved with the club.

“We will have to pick ourselves up and try and get a win. It will be difficult, but we will be positive and try and win a game we have to win.”
