A Dublin teenager has been sent forward for trial for the murder of 12-year-old Michaela Davis.

A Dublin teenager has been sent forward for trial for the murder of 12-year-old Michaela Davis.

Jonathan Byrne (aged 19) of Lohunda Downs, Clonsilla is accused of killing the schoolgirl at Porterstown on August 28 last.

The book of evidence was today served on Mr Byrne, who will now go forward for trial to the Central Criminal Court.

He is charged with murdering Michaela Davis on the Porterstown Road in West Dublin.

The schoolgirl’s parents had reported her missing in the early hours of the morning.

Her body was discovered later that afternoon in undergrowth by the Royal Canal.
