Gardaí release man held in connection with Viper shooting

Gardaí in Dublin have released a man arrested on Wednesday in connection with the shooting of Dublin criminal Martin Foley earlier this year.

Gardaí in Dublin have released a man arrested on Wednesday in connection with the shooting of Dublin criminal Martin Foley earlier this year.

Mr Foley, known as the Viper, survived despite being shot a number of times outside a gym in the Kimmage area of the city on January 26.

It was the fourth time the 55-year-old has survived an assassination attempt.

The Gardaí say they are preparing a file for the DPP in relation to the man arrested this week.
