Mary Harney's mother dies
Minister for Health Mary Harney's mother has died at the age of 84 after a long illness.
Sarah Harney was a native of Ahascragh in Co Galway. She and her late husband were farmers before moving to Co Dublin.
Mrs Harney died this morning at her son's home in Newcastle, just outside Dublin.
She is survived by her children Mary, Geraldine, Michael, Lawrence and Richard.
