Derry came from behind to salvage a point as Cork finished with ten men.

Kevin Doyle gave Cork the lead on four minutes when he headed home Colin T. O'Brien's cross.

Second bottom Derry should have been level by the break but Ciaran Martyn shot against the bar while Michael Devine made a good stop from skipper Eamonn Doherty.

Cork had George O'Callaghan sent off on 50 minutes for retaliation on Eddie McCallion, his second bookable offence.

Michael Holt then levelled for Derry on 62 minutes when drilling home from the edge of the area following Gareth McGlynn's corner.
