Republic of Ireland boss Giovanni Trapattoni has called up CSKA Sofia striker Cillian Sheridan for the forthcoming Euro 2012 qualifiers against Armenia and Andorra.
The 21-year-old former Celtic player was not in the initial 25-man party named by Trapattoni’s assistant Marco Tardelli last week, but has now been drafted in.
The Republic open their Group B campaign against Armenia in Yerevan next Friday evening, before taking on Andorra at the Aviva Stadium in Dublin the following Tuesday.
